Jeff Bird, Ph.D., M.D., joined our Board in 2008. He has been a Managing Director of Sutter Hill Ventures, a venture capital firm, since 2002. Dr. Bird was a co-founder of Threshold, led the Company’s Series A financing in 2001, and was formerly a Threshold Board member from 2001 to 2004. Dr. Bird was previously Senior Vice President, Business Operations at Gilead Sciences, where he oversaw business development and commercial activities. Dr. Bird received a degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford in 1982, a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology in 1988 and a M.D. in 1992 from Stanford Medical School. The third stock is THLD. It too has plenty of cash and some promising pipeline drugs in the works and actually earns an income. It has been flat lining between its 200 dma and its 50 dma and looks to be getting ready to make a big move in 2014 as well. The base is $ 4.00/shr forever and above the 200-dma you can expect some fireworks.
