Metalicity AU000000MCT4 . Gran potencial en materia primas

Buenas:

Metalicity Ltd finds high grade lithium in first pass sampling at Pilgangoora project

Wednesday, March 30, 2016 by Proactive Investors

Metalicity Ltd (ASX:MCT) has collected rock chip samples that assayed up to 2.45% lithium from exploration at the Stannum tenement in Pilgangoora South Lithium Project, Western Australia.

Data processing and interpretation has also identified new targets prospective for spodumene (hard rock lithium) at Stannum.

The Pilgangoora South Project is located within 5 kilometres of the Pilgangoora Lithium Deposit of Pilbara Minerals Ltd (FRA:PLR) where the world’s 2nd largest deposit of spodumene is being developed.

Metalicity’s project is also adjacent to Wodgina operations of Global Advanced Metals, which hosts one of the world’s largest resources of tantalum.

A total of sixteen rock chip samples were collected from the L1 and L2 prospects at Stannum. Test results confirmed the presence of lithium bearing rare metal pegmatites at the prospects, with lithium up to 24,544 ppm (2.45%) and tantalum results up to 200 ppm.

A further round of rock chip sampling and mapping is being organised at Stannum, which will entail a more comprehensive work program over several days along the 5 kilometre target zone.

Increasing investor interest as well as projected future demand for lithium-ion batteries has sent Metalicity’s share price soaring over the last few months.

Re: Metalicity AU000000MCT4 . Gran potencial en materia primas

MCT is undervalued and it has nothing to do with the potential lithium, but everything with Admiral Bay.

Even the most bearish commodity analysts are becoming zinc bulls. Goldman Sachs among them.

But more importantly is the 28 April report from the International Lead and Zinc Study Group via this link: http://www.ilzsg.org/generic/pages/l..._type=R&from=1

Excerpt:

“Information recently collected from ILZSG member countries indicates that global demand for refined zinc metal will exceed supply by 352kt in 2016. This deficit is higher than that indicated by the Group during its meetings last October with the difference due primarily to additional cutbacks in mine production announced over the past six months.”

There is a real deficit and it's becoming bigger this year. At first I wasn't happy with the scoping study delay, but now I understand it's a smart move.

For me, more than ever before, MCT is a zinc play.

Metalicity finds lithium at Stannum

Metalicity finds lithium at Stannum
Metalicity has identified significant outcropping pegmatites at the L1 and L2 lithium targets at its 100%-owned Stannum lithium project, within the Pilgangoora South project in Western Australia.
The company said it had established 5km of strike length at Stannum, which is within the same geological terrane as the world’s second largest hard rock lithium deposit at Pilgangoora, being developed by Altura Mining and Pilbara Minerals.
The Stannum lithium project covers an area of 9.6 km2 in the Pilbara region and adjoins the Wodgina Tantalum operations owned by Global Advanced Metals.
Metalicity said it had gained access to new project areas at Pilgangoora South, aided by helicopter support from Port Hedland, and was rapidly confirming the highest priority areas for drilling.
HyMap hyperspectral data for the Stannum project area has been acquired, and is being assessed by a specialist geophysicist, for its usefulness in identifying the various classes of pegmatites expected to be present in the project area, the company said. Metalicity is also preparing for field work at its Greenbushes and Lake Cowan lithium projects.
Metalicity managing director Matt Gauci said: "We are very encouraged by the early exploration work at Stannum that has confirmed a significant strike length and geology, similar to Pilbara Mineral’s Pilgangoora project 12 months ago. We are sufficiently funded for drilling highly encouraging lithium targets in world class lithium districts this year."

Metalicity Ltd steps up the pace of lithium exploration in Western Australia

Cashed up Metalicity Ltd (ASX: MCT) will commence an accelerated $1 million lithium exploration program across four project areas in Western Australia.

The key focus of the initial phase of this program is the systematic sampling and mapping of the central outcropping pegmatites at Stannum which forms part of the Pilgangoora South project.

This work is set to generate drill targets for a maiden drilling program planned to commence at Stannum as soon as licences are granted and requisite approvals for drilling have been obtained.

Stannum is located adjacent to the Wodgina operations of Global Advanced Metals, where one of the world’s largest hard rock tantalum resources is located.

First pass field work at Stannum included geological mapping and sampling of the pegmatites in the southern zone, which confirmed the presence of lithium bearing rare metal pegmatites with lithium results up to 2.45% and tantalum results up to 200 ppm.

Additionally, Metalicity will also explore The Greenbushes Regional project where the company’s tenements are located within 35 kilometres of the Greenbushes lithium operation owned by Talison Lithium.

Significantly, The Greenbushes deposit is the world’s largest and highest grade deposit of spodumene and is currently being mined, processed and exported via the port of Bunbury, supplying 30% of the world lithium market.

Metalicity will also explore two other projects in Western Australia, the Murchison project and The Goldfields project, both 100% owned by Metalicity.

Metalicity is well-funded for the current exploration programs with $4 million in cash balance.

Re: Metalicity AU000000MCT4 .

Silver City Minerals Ltd (ASX:SCI) has commenced exploration for lithium at Broken Hill in western New South Wales, which contains over 100 square kilometres of pegmatite outcroppings.

This is the first systematic lithium exploration at Broken Hill, where Silver City has been exploring for base metals and silver since 2008.

Silver City has commenced initial field programs including rock chip sampling and geological mapping of pegmatites associated with areas of tin mineralisation on the northern and southern extensions of the Waukeroo tin field.

The company has identified significant anomalous indicator elements in the Waukeroo tin field.

The Euriowie tin field, located 30 kilometres northeast of Waukeroo, has been known to host lithium minerals and elevated indicator elements. Silver City considers its Waukeroo tin field to be the geological equivalent of Euriowie.

Silver City intends to complete additional work on Waukeroo, including spodumene prospects definition, detailed sampling and project definition.

The company will also evaluate existing airborne hyperspectral data to assess the potential for remotely differentiating spodumene in spectral data.

Investors can expect to receive the results of the airborne hyperspectral survey and rock sampling over the next few weeks.

At May end, Silver City raised $785,000 through placement of shares at $0.045. It also launched a share purchase plan to raise $500,000 from existing shareholders. The funds are targeted for use in lithium exploration.

La noticia se ha publicado hace 20 minutos. La acción lleva una subida de 11% en el día de hoy. Los resultados se sabran en un par de semanas.Un saludo.
