Information about actual dividend payments made and missed:
I have now (3/8) found two independent sources which confirm that the last dividend payment made was on 9/15/08 for both Ps and Ks:
(1) A Ghost board member who owned Ks pre-seizure says that he received a dividend payment on 9/15/08, and has received none since then.
(2) I contacted Joele Frank in NY and talked to Aaron Pilash. He pulled up the dividend payment history for both shares and said that, for each, dividend payments were made on 9/15/08, and none since then.
The bottom line: in one week, on 3/15/10, a dividend payment is scheduled for Ps and Ks. This payment will not be made, and this will be the 6th missed dividend payment for each of the preferred shares. This should trigger the right of the preferred shares, acting as a class, to elect two directors to the WMI board.
The remaining question in my mind: is the EC going to initiate this special election, or should be be figuring out how to get this done?
